Lee- oh come on now, roll those sleeves up and plant some stuff, you have a great climate for it!
Citygirl- Yes I have a garden, it is my passion. If you look back to summer blogs last year I do a scenes from the trellises post everynow and again, with pictures and updates on my incredible (or not so much) edibles! I love it...it calms me...which as you may guess...I NEED! :-)
Every year I say I am going to plant asparagus and I don't, now I think that as soon as I plant it we will have to move...I know...the games I play with my sanity are kind of crazy! lol
Ugh! Why does asparagus have to be such a commitment?!? I really want the freshly-picked-grew-myself asparagus (as opposed to the sort that they strip-mine down in Chile then fly up here...) but I've yet to live somewhere long enough.
And my Netflix buddy at night is: Greek (Love this one)
Books I am reading to my kids
Nothing... I don't have time to read to my kids... just kidding... they read to themselves for the most part... and when they didn't I was a good parent who most of the time read to them.. until I fell asleep... which was usually before they did!
I used PIE, my nickname. When I was born, my father said "poor little pie face, she is so ugly no one will want to marry her, she will keep us warm in our old age." Yes it is true, and it stuck...so now, I am known as pie. This is how my journey started…NICE. I am a SAHM...which explains my brand of crazy. I live in Maine, just had another kid, and am feeling like I need to relocate to a shoe. My brother in-law and my sister convinced me that somehow, my life may be interesting to the masses…my secret thought is, as I sit at the bar in their house telling them about my life, they are thinking, “she is one crazy MoFo.” So this could just be their way of documenting it before they drop me off at the door of an institution. None the less, I have decided to give blogging a try. I do, however, worry that I will become the target of a seek and destroy mission led by my in-laws if I mention them too much, I am treading on thin ice as it is :-) Ultimately, writing about my screwed up life, I know I am eventually going to insult someone. So consider this a disclaimer and it is just going to have to cover it for the length of time that I decide to torture you all with my blog

Looks like he's got a fine crop this year!
A fine crop indeed!
Do you have a garden, Pie?
A small one. Green onions, raddishes, tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes.
I have a yard that is overflowing with verdant diversity (ethnic cleansing could be good here...)
but nothing edible to me.

It's just so hard to be comitted to a good garden when moving all the time.
I'm not trying to make excuses - I should at least plant some strawberies.
If I could stay somewhere, I'd plant asparagus.
